About me

Hello.

Being a Clinical Solution Focused Therapist, Psychotherapist and Hypnotherapist is extremely rewarding.

My journey as a therapist started a long time ago now. In 1995 I studied Psychology which led me to become even more curious about the mind. I was as a young student Yoga Teacher back then. I was very interested in how we can feel much better when engaging in certain activities.  I noticed how we can ‘go there’, ‘talk about that’ or ‘do that’ and ‘feel different’, ‘feel better’, see ‘improvements’ in ourselves and other people.

I wanted to know more and became very interested in Neuroscience, the study of the nervous system, its functions and disorders. More importantly I wanted to know how to help people cope and manage with whatever they were struggling with – quickly too!   I studied and study the brain and how it operates in relation to fear/anxiety, lack of sleep, addictions and so forth.

I studied Person Centred Therapy over 20 years ago now, after finishing my Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology at Lancaster University in 2000. I moved on to working with people in a CBT (cognitive behavioural therapy) setting, studied NLP (neuro linguistic processes) also.  It has been a wonderful journey and the reviews demonstrate this. I see rapid change with clients weekly.

I have lived in Lancaster over 30 years now and also work with CancerCare. Please feel free to call if you would like to know more, or you can contact me using my contact form here.

I look forward to helping you on your journey to becoming the ‘best version of you’.

Thank you,

Anne Marie Flynn
